During his several year tenure at the Department of Veterans Affairs in DC, I had the opportunity to work as a consultant and community representative on CABs and committees with Dr. Ron Valdiserri. I was excited and thrilled for him when I heard that he had accepted this most important post at HHS. His dedication to people with HIV and Hepatitis has been inspiring as he led a dedicated group of professionals both at the VA in DC and the VAMCs. Congratulations Ron! Best wishes and success for the future! Donald MacIver

From my earliest days in the field of HIV Prevention
Ron Valdeseri has been an inspiration for my work
and a hero. The agency where I work was one of the first to be funded directly by the CDC as a minority community based agency. Ron was always willing to move us along the path of knowledge and practice with
skill and graciousness. On behalf of many of us,
I thank him for his dedication.
