An the worst thing is that it can be avoided with very simple precautions. We need to do more work to make people aware of the dangers.

We share about HIV everyday through our social media efforts. We started today with Twitter and Facebook to help get the word out about National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.
I am the father of an HIV positive son. I know first hand that a lifetime of accomplishments and hard work can be compromised with an HIV positive diagnosis. It may not be a death sentence, but it is a life sentence.
I work everyday so he may live his life without limitations.
Please let me know what more we can do.
Kelly Markell

A great and informative post! Thanks for helping in the fight to end such a dreadful and still devastating disease. Although HIV/AIDS is not the death sentence it once was, and is now a manageable illness, it is still a serious one. It is sad that the media and LGBT community isn't giving this illness the amount of attention that is needed. Here's to the eradication of this disease.
