As a mother of 2 children i'm always interested in advancements in areas of HIV/AIDS when it comes to children. Funding always seems to be an issue when it comes to important medical issues. These are areas that are extremely important to our children as they will one day be the leaders of our country.

I think that the priorities of NIAID and NICHD are commendable. I, too, hope that they are able to secure enough funding to carry out all of their goals.

As a member of the maternal and pediatric community, thank you to both NIAID and NICHD leadership for this commitment to continue focus on our issues. The research priorities you have listed are also high priorities for community. Your list seems comprehensive. I hope there will be adequate resources to address these priorities in a meaningful way.
