This is great news. As a full time school bullying speaker, it’s heartbreaking to see kids succumb to a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

This seems like a serious matter and the reason for this is mainly because of all the peer pressure that is comnig from most teens. They should make up more things to do to prevent this from happening.

I think bullying and teen suicide are taking a serious toll. Kids don’t think it’s a big deal, but because of bullying, some kids are committing suicide. Bullying needs to be stopped and therefore our teen suicide will go down.

It is up to each and ever one of us to STOP TOLERATING ANY FORM OF BULLYING. The consequences of ignoring the fact that bullying exists and doing nothing about it, are too great. It is imperative to speak out against bullying in every form and join together to end this abominable form of human destruction.

I think too its important to address both ends of the spectrum. Being a teenager - everything is amplified. The slightest hint of disapproval can be magnified. I found this an interesting approach - http://itgetsbetter.org/default.aspx - This mindset I think would be helpful for ALL teens - irregardless of sexual orientation. It does get better. Absolutely address anything we can in terms of offhanded comments and definitely overtly hateful actions, but also let's strengthen the inner world, teenager and beyond, so perspective is an element as well as the behavior of others.

How about mandate that public schools include the question about the gender of high school students sex partners on the national YRBS so we can analyze these data- as it stands now, most states won’t go near it. It is no coincidence that many of these same kids are getting HIV because they don’t care enough about themselves to protect their health. The schools need to step up.
