I also edit a monthly e-newsletter called the MEDICAID WATCH.
Several years ago I wrote a paper outlining ways to stretch ADAP funds to meet the growing caseload and since then have regularly updated it. I’ve shared it with state AIDS staff over the years, but doubt any of them gave it the attention it deserves —much less acted on its suggestions. On top of that, state HIV staffs keep changing,and newer state HIV employees haven’t ever seen this paper or had a chance to consider and act on the cost-saving techniques it describes.
