I also work in corrections and would love to share these videos with the inmates. Is it possible to have this series on DVD?
As Ms. Boone said, I know these will definitely impact the high risk populations we work with.
Thank you,

Wonderful film, would love a copy for my support group. Being positive over 29 years and be an being active in the community educating, teach and advocating it is great to have new avenues. If you send me an address I will send one of my poetry books, much of it is about HIV

I'm a Detroit HIV outreach worker for the SHAPE program (Stop HIV/AIDS and Addiction through Prevention and Education). Our program is funded by SAMHSA and is the ONLY program of its kind in the U.S. targeting women aged 50 and older among five populations: African American, Arab/Chaldean, Hispanic/Latina, Homeless/Transitional and Veteran women.

We currently use two videos during our workshops and information sessions for older adults. One video is entitled "Seniors at Risk" and was produced in 2003 by the Detroit Health Department. The other, entitled "AIDS in Black America," was produced by ABC Television Network in 2006.

We use these two heavily and though they are a few years old their messages are still timely and well-received by our audiences.

We also use "3 Needles," distributed by the National AIDS Fund. The National AIDS Fund also sent us "Documentary for Health & Social Justice. A Film Series about Women and HIV/AIDS and Behind the Scenes."

We find the use of videos to be extremely beneficial to small groups of women that we conduct two-day, 2.5 hour HIV/AIDS and substance abuse prevention workshops for within our targeted populations.

Hello,
I just watched the "Living with HIV" videos (all three of them) and absolutely LOVE them, especially Curtis' and Darlene's stories. I work in corrections (HIV education and peer education)and don't have computer/Internet access there, but I can bring in DVDs. Is there a way I could get these videos on DVD? I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks for these moving accounts! I KNOW they'll touch people.
Sincerely,
Barbara Boone
