Thank you for your comment. You mentioned that you were Muslim and would like to find a way to introduce the topic of HIV/AIDS in the Islamic community. Are you aware of the work of ACCESS (Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services) in Dearborn, Michigan? We have worked with ACCESS in the past on just the issue you mention. They have an HIV/AIDS prevention, testing, and treatment program, and are doing HIV outreach in the Islamic community.

I am muslim and we need to somehow incorporate the islamic community into the loop. I am also a disease intervention specialist (DIS) trained in HIV/AIDS by the CDC years ago. I am looking for a way to bring this topic into the islamic community. I am sure that we have not only gay buy HIV positive indivuals in our faith as well. Good luck with this endeavour. I have my hands full.
