How to Stay Updated During AIDS 2012

AIDS 2012 BadgeOn Wednesday June 27th, the International AIDS Society announced their plans for online coverage of AIDS 2012. They are partnering with Kaiser to provide daily coverage on its website www.kff.org/aids2012 Exit Disclaimer. Both the Opening Session and Closing Session will be presented live via webcast. They will webcast more than 50 conference sessions and press conferences that will be tape-delayed by a few hours and available on demand, along with podcasts in both English and Spanish. Kaiser will also offer an enhanced version of their free daily new summary, Kaiser’s Daily Global Health Policy report, that include summaries of what the global media are reporting from the conference.

AIDS.gov will be one of many United States Government (USG) agencies providing coverage at AIDS 2012. Similar to our coverage at the 2010 International AIDS Conference in Vienna, AIDS.gov blog and produce videos from senior USG voices that highlight the scientific developments coming from the conference. Given that AIDS.gov also focuses on using new media in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, we will provide updates on domestic and global efforts to incorporate new media into HIV/AIDS programs. Over the next couple of weeks you will learn more about other USG agencies’ conference coverage. The information will be available on the USG@AIDS2012 website.
