Vine video from CDC NPIN.

Video sharing remains a powerful tool for sharing health information. According to the Pew Internet & American Life Project Exit Disclaimer, 71% of online Americans use video-sharing sites (such as YouTube and Vimeo). On YouTube Exit Disclaimer alone, users upload more than 72 hours of video every minute.

There are many different sites for uploading and sharing video, and Vine Exit Disclaimer is an example of one of the newer ones. Vine is a mobile-based app that allows users to record videos up to six seconds long and immediately share them on Twitter and Facebook (check out how to use it here Exit Disclaimer). With newly approved “government friendly” terms of service Exit Disclaimer, government agencies can now record and upload their own videos to Vine.

How (if at all) have you used Vine? How are you using video sharing in your work in the HIV community? How did it help?
