Health information technology (Health IT) has the ability to affect the quality of health care for all Americans and can significantly improve the coordination of care within all communities. As the impact of Health IT expands, new media is becoming a key tool to reach underserved populations.
Fadesola Adetosoye, Public Affairs Manager at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), recently did a podcast for eHealth Equity , a website designed to encourage communities of color and the medically underserved to adopt and use health information technology (Health IT). She explains what ONC is doing to support health technology in efforts to support the promotion, prevention and management of chronic illness.
